Denise Zurliene, 70 of Fairfield passed away at 9:57 AM, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  Born on November 3, 1953, in St. Louis, MO to Donald and Loretta (Basler) Schoenborn, she taught 2nd grade at Northside School for many years.  Denise was an active member of the Alter Sodality for all her life and was music director for St. Edward Catholic Church for 40 plus years.

Denise is survived by her husband Don Zurliene of Fairfield, sons Nicholas (Laura) Zurliene and Anthony (Elizabeth) Zurliene of Fairfield, grandchildren Gabby, Cami, Mac, Abram, Emmit, and Keaton Zurliene, brother Tim (Jackie) Schoenborn of Fairfield, sister-in-law Diana Zurliene of Fairfield, brothers-in-law Jeff (Janette) Zurliene of Fairfield, David (Melana) Zurliene of Kansas City, MO, Dennis (Vickie) Zurliene of Fairfield, and Danny (Karri) Zurliene of Santa Maria, CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Jerry Zurliene.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 24th at St. Edward Catholic Church in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5-7 PM, with a Rosary service to follow,  and Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of service at the church.  Memorials in her honor may be made to the St. Edward Catholic Church Music Fund and will be accepted at the services or the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, which is assisting with arrangements.
